Scissor cutting skills are essential practical life skills for preschoolers. Cutting is one of the many skills the KHT Montessori 12-month course includes in the techniques given to teach children ages 2½-6. Today, I have a free practical life printable for you with both a cutting skills guide and 20 printable templates from KHT Montessori!
Free Cutting Skills Guide and 20 Templates from KHT Montessori
This is a free instant download, courtesy of KHT Montessori! These materials are part of the KHT practical life album. The printables include presentation suggestions and 20 printable cutting templates. (Note: The presentation and 20 templates are in a zip file that’s one easy download!) You can download the Cutting Skills Guide and templates here.
(Note: This is a zip file, so it downloads a bit differently from a regular PDF. A zip file should automatically download when you click on the link. You should see the file at the bottom of your screen. You might need to click that and say “show in folder” or something similar, depending on how your browser saves it.)
All the Freebies from KHT Montessori
To get all the freebies (instant downloads except for the subscriber freebie geography album) from KHT Montessori and see my latest KHT Montessori post, go to my “Freebies for Parents and Teachers from KHT Montessori” post.

The Structure of the KHT Montessori Online Course with Class Forum Example and 12-Month Syllabus
If you wonder about how the course is structured, check out this information by Karen Tyler about the forum based classroom: “Let’s be honest here, most of us are very busy with family, outside jobs, etc. We also all live in many different time zones. Most “virtual class rooms” require you to log in at a specific time to be part of a live webinar/class. Self-paced online programs do not offer the personal direction and discussion with a teacher nor classmates. We have created a Forum Based Classroom that can be accessed any day of the week any time day or night. You can log in on your schedule and read the lectures, ask questions, join in on the discussion and I check in daily to reply and keep the class moving forward. It is the benefits of a live classroom but on your schedule!”
You can see an example of the forum (answering the question: “Is Montessori education rigid?”) here. (Click on the forum image to see it at full size.)
You can download the 12-month KHT Montessori Online Course Syllabus here.

a Rafflecopter giveaway
It’s Tuesday morning, February 20. I really appreciated all the comments and 1,099 entries. A winner has been selected using Random.org through Rafflecopter!
The winner of the $330 KHT Montessori Online Course with 12 Montessori Teachers’ Manuals is Freda H!
I’m so happy for Freda, who had multiple entries! (Note: Freda, you have 48 hours to respond to my email, or a new winner will be chosen.)
The comment for Freda’s mandatory entry (why she wanted to win the online training course) said:
“I am from Ghana, Africa. If Africa is going to change then there must be an improvement in curriculum ., a change from curriculuns that is centered on commiting facts to memory just to pass an exams. The change must be geared especially towards childhood curriculum as this is the most impirtant stage of the child. The need for good curriculum led me into doing a lot of research on the best curriculum and I came across the Montessori Method.
CONGRATULATIONS, Freda!!! Thank you SO MUCH to KHT Montessori for sponsoring this awesome giveaway – and thank you to everyone who entered! Note: A new KHT Montessori course starts February 26!
