I’m starting a new Monday blog post called the “Activity of the Week.” Each Monday, I’ll plan to have a Montessori-oriented activity I’ve found on the Internet. The activities should be appropriate for teachers or parents. I’ll mention if an activity is only appropriate for a homeschool or traditional school, but I’m expecting the activities will be appropriate for both.
I’ll show an image and describe what I like about the activity. Then I’ll link to the original blog post or site for you to read about the activity. Where necessary, I’ll have links to articles describing how to use the Montessori methods needed to introduce the activity.
Activities will be categorized by Montessori curriculum area. Most of the activities will probably be appropriate for preschoolers, although some will be applicable to both preschool and elementary or will be specified as elementary activities.
These activities will be called the “Activity of the Week,” but they won’t necessarily be new online posts from the current week or the week before. They might be, but some might be from two years ago. I’ll just present activities I feel inspired to share each week.
So, join me each Monday for the activity of the week!
