Montessori-Inspired Music Unit Studies

Montessori-Inspired Music Unit StudiesMusic has been an important part of my life from elementary school on. For years, I’ve enjoyed helping young children develop an appreciation for music.

As a Montessori teacher, sharing music with young children was one of my favorite activities. With my own children, music was one of my favorite subjects to teach. I love introducing music to my 7½-month-old granddaughter.

As a blogger, I’ve had fun publishing a number of Montessori-inspired music appreciation unit studies.

Today, I want to put those unit studies into one post so they’re easier to find. Many of the unit studies feature the fabulous Maestro Classics CDs or MP3s/PDFs, but they can be used for any study of the featured musical piece. Many of the posts also have musical activities that can be adapted for any music unit. They cover a range of ages from preschool through early elementary.
