I’m happy to be part of a HUGE collaboration of Kid Blogger Network roundup! My roundup has 20+ apple phonics activities from Kid Blogger Network bloggers … with lots of great ideas for reinforcing phonics skills.
For the Montessori Monday link-up, go way to the bottom of the post. (AFTER the roundup linky and the Rafflecopter form, there’ll be a second linky for Montessori Monday.) Thanks! 🙂
Montessori Phonics
Phonics is a very important part of the Montessori language curriculum. Note: In Montessori education, we teach phonetic sounds before letter names. For any of the activities below, I would emphasize the letter sounds. Also, if you want to follow Montessori tradition, make the letters lowercase for your activities. Of course, set up your activities however works best for you and your child or students.
You can learn more about Montessori phonics through the links in this post: DIY Beginning Montessori Phonics for Preschoolers. Even though not all the activities featured here were intended to emphasize phonetic sounds rather than letter names, they can easily be taught in that way using techniques from this post: Inexpensive and DIY Sandpaper Letters.

Montessori Monday Link-Up
If you have some Montessori activity trays/lessons to share, please link up below. It’s fine to link up a post from your archives – and you may link up anytime during the week! Your post may be any Montessori-inspired activity or idea. It doesn’t need to be related to my Montessori Monday post.
If you’re wondering what’s considered “Montessori inspired” and what to link up (or not link up), check out my “What Is Montessori Inspired?” post. Link up your exact post URL so that we can find your activity if we return to the linky at a later date (which I often do when I’m looking for activities for a roundup post). Don’t link to giveaway posts (unless the giveaway is only part of a Montessori-inspired post). Giveaways in general should go on my giveaway linky. Also, don’t link directly to products. You can link up a review of a Montessori product or activity post related to a Montessori product.
I publish the Montessori Monday post and linky each Monday morning and keep the linky open throughout the week. Please place the Montessori Monday button (using the code from the right sidebar) in your post or put a link back to this post. I do a lot of pinning on Pinterest and sharing on the Living Montessori Now Facebook page from the Montessori Monday link-up.Thanks for participating!
Notes For community discussions, please join us at the Living Montessori Now Facebook page. And don’t forget the Saturday/Sunday weekend sharing days where you may share a kid-related activity of any kind at the Living Montessori Now Facebook page!
It’s also Motivational Monday on Mondays! I invite you to share something positive on the Bits of Positivity Facebook page (Bits of Positivity is my other blog) to help us all get a good start on the work/school week. You might share an inspirational or motivational quote, positive graphic, or post about finding balance or simplifying your life. Or you might share a post on organizing, an encouraging post, a post about making a difference in the world, or a positive parenting post. Just go ahead and share on the Bits of Positivity wall any time today! (Please “like” the Bits of Positivity Facebook page if you haven’t already.) I’ll be pinning a number of ideas to my regular Pinterest boards.
If you have a giveaway on your blog, please add it to my Family-Friendly Giveaway Linky Page! If you enjoy entering giveaways, you’ll always find some great giveaways there.

i love taking my kids to all the local orchards or pumpkin patches. we love going for walks. i take them to see my family a little more north than us where they have gorgeous pine trees and a much more beautiful fall season.
going to the pumpkin patch
we love to hang out at the park during the autumn when its not so hot!
By far our favorite fall activities are farm-related, whether joining in local harvest festivals or various pumpkin projects like carving, roasting and eating seeds, making pie, and, new this year, a pumpkin rolling contest!
Probably apple picking and going to the great pumpkin farm. Although walks through pretty trees always makes me happy, too 🙂
I love fall baking
We used to make leafprints.
Walks scavenger hunts
Our favorite fall activity is eating pumpkin pancakes! We also like walking and bike riding since it’s not so hot and even my 3 year old understands that the leaves are changing colors!
This would be perfect if I can win this so I can use the money to set up my montessori homeschool environment.
Collecting leaves, and using them in art (rubbings, collage, etc.)
Leaf rubbings and dye
Autumn soup and harvest veggies
Our favorite activity is baking apple pie!
Lovely activities. We love collecting leaves and branches to make small crafts.
My students enjoy apple cutting in the food prep area of our classroom. Another favorite is pumpkin scrubbing and observing the parts of a pumpkin
My daughter and I’s favourite fall activity is to collect leaves!
My favorite fall activity as a family is to go on nature walks!
Pumpkin pitching ( rolling), pumpkin patch, apple picking, making a scarecrow, hiking, jumping in leaf piles, so much to love about Autumn!
Favorite Fall activity is ALL OF THEM! pumpkin patches and carving, trick or treating, Fall colors and decor. But especially all the apple treats.
