This week, I’m featuring some wonderful Montessori-inspired spring activities. The photo shows a unique activity for demonstrating a raincloud from The Moveable Alphabet.

I love that the activity has a science component and is a great exercise in eye-hand coordination as well. Check out the post at The Moveable Alphabet for descriptive photos and directions on how to prepare that activity and two other activities related to rain.

Here are links to other lovely Montessori-inspired spring activities I found online:

Spring Matching Cards from Montessori for Everyone

Birds Match-Up and Memory Game from Montessori Print Shop

Spring Theme Printables from Montessori for Learning

Springtime Lesson Planning Links from American Montessori Consulting

Zoo Scavenger Hunt and 3 Part Cards (a fun spring activity) and Spring Nature Tray from Little Wonders’ Days

There are also links to spring activities in our Living Montessori Now Community! Those activities aren’t necessarily Montessori-inspired, but there are lots of great activities there as well. And please add any spring activity posts and/or ideas you have to the community discussion!

So many great spring activities to choose from! Have fun! :)

Thank you for sharing this activity with us. I thought it was a wonderful idea! And this is why I have “stolen” your idea for my preschool (but I did mention your blog as the source). Check it out on: http://theguilletots.blogspot.com/2011/04/naming-clouds.html
