I have a fun activity and resources for you for a camping theme or a picnic theme … or summer in general. We made a pizza box solar oven and s’mores!
We used a few different resources to make the solar oven:

We did the activity on a sunny day, although it was only in the 70s. We used vegan marshmallows, vegan chocolate, and graham crackers (there are regular and gluten-free options) for my three oldest grandkids: Zoey (10), Caleb (6) and Sophia (6). They had fun checking the solar oven periodically.
Getting Reading to Eat the S’mores
It took about 45 minutes for s’mores to be ready. When they were ready, Zoey, Caleb, and Sophia disassembled the solar oven and assembled the s’mores!
The s’mores were declared delicious!
Caleb had so much fun that he made his own pizza box solar oven and s’mores for him and his parents as soon as he had a new pizza box to use!
