The Parent Perspective on Montessori Education

March 2, 2015 By Deb Chitwood

You might be wondering if Montessori education is right for your child. The American Montessori Society has an inspiring video with a number of Montessori parents telling their experiences of having a child attend a Montessori school.

The Parent Perspective on Montessori Education

If you’re wondering about Montessori education for your own child (either in a Montessori school or Montessori homeschool), you’ll find this video very helpful.

“Living Montessori: The Parent Perspective”

My Experiences as a Parent with Montessori Education

I was a Montessori teacher and school director. I was also a Montessori parent with two children in Montessori homeschool. The following two posts tell a bit about my experiences of Montessori education for my children. (Note: Even though my children were homeschooled, I’m a definite advocate of Montessori schools if there’s one in your area that works well for your family.)

I strongly believe that Montessori education is much better preparation for the future than the rote learning and reflexive obedience model of most public education systems.

Thank you for being such an avid promoter of self-directed learning and helping families find creative ways to educate their children so they can become the creators they were born to be.
