Montessori Inspiration from Trevor Eissler
“Children naturally love to learn.” Trevor Eissler

I’ve written about Trevor Eissler before:

  • Why I Used Montessori Principles in my Parenting Philosophy
  • Spread Montessori Madness!
  • Trevor Eissler’s New 4,962,571 Children’s Book

Trevor Eissler now has three books. He also has a new video: “How Do You Hug a Child Like This?” – 321FastDraw

Definitely thought provoking! Obviously, there are good schools that aren’t Montessori schools. But we do always need to be aware of the thought that “Children naturally love to learn. How do we bring this back?” (Quote from “How Do You Hug a Child Like This?”)

To download “Children Naturally Love to Learn” Word-Art Freebie (without watermark), click here, then right click on the image and choose “Save Picture As . . .” (Background photo by Marcin Marczak.)

Trevor Eissler has contributed much toward Montessori awareness and inspiration. Do you have a favorite thought or work of his?

I just saw that you live in Colorado Springs on Pinterest and was wondering how were you during the wild fires. I was driving through Denver from Utah when the fires were going on last month. There were small fires in Utah and Colorado along I- 70, but nothing compared to Colorado Springs I hear.
    I hope all is well.

I love your Pinterest by the way!

Thanks so much for your kind words and your concern! I’m still catching up on everything after the fires and my kids’ visit earlier in July. My husband and I were very lucky that the Waldo Canyon Fire didn’t reach our part of the city. It was really sad and frightening, though, to see what happened to so many.

We spent a lot of time afterward putting together things to donate to the fire victims. It was such a devastating fire … we’re praying that nothing like that happens again in Colorado Springs. Blessings to you!

Is there any way I can download that little Youtube clip that you’re aware of, Deb? I only ask because I’d love to save it but wouldn’t dare mess with any copyright issues that may be in place.

I don’t believe there’s a way to download videos from YouTube any longer, BJ, although it’s fine to embed them on sites like Facebook and on blog posts. They link back to the original video that way. 🙂
