UPDATE: The giveaway is now closed. See update at the bottom of the post (right below the Rafflecopter form) for the announcement of the winner! Jessica from Keys of the Universe has elementary trainings that start each month. Be sure to check out Keys of the Universe for more information!
I’ve had a number of readers ask about Montessori elementary education for homeschoolers. While Karen Tyler offers a wonderful online training to teach children ages 2 ½ -6, there wasn’t a similar inexpensive option for the elementary level.
Now Jessica Welsh, an Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) certified primary and elementary teacher is providing training for parents and teachers who aren’t able to take a traditional Montessori training course for certification. (Note: if you aren’t familiar with AMI, the organization was started by Dr. Montessori herself, and it’s the Montessori training program considered most authentic).

Keys of the Universe is an AMI-based online elementary Montessori training program primarily for homeschoolers (and open to anyone who works with children at the elementary level). While the program doesn’t give AMI certification, it does give you the opportunity to learn how to teach your children at home using AMI-based teaching methods and albums.
I’m excited to host a giveaway sponsored by Keys of the Universe! This is a great way to start the new year if you have (or will have) elementary-aged children! Courses start at the beginning of each month.
The Keys of the Universe training covers ages 6-12, which is especially nice. Typically, one elementary Montessori training course covers ages 6-9 and another course is required to cover ages 9-12. This course can also be completed at home over 8 or 16 months, depending on which option you choose. You’ll receive Jessica’s AMI-based training albums as part of the course.
Here are the main features of the Keys of the Universe elementary training:
Key Features of the Elementary Montessori Training:
- Lower elementary and upper elementary (6-9 and 9-12 integrated into a 6-12 continuum)
- Introduces the Erdkinder Montessori for adolescents 12-15
- AMI-based Elementary Montessori training albums with some additional albums in AMI style – albums are provided as the course progresses.
- Elementary Montessori albums include mathematics, geometry, language and literature, geography (geology, functional and economic geography, some physics), biology (botany, zoology, human health), music, art, history, astronomy, theory and background.
- Support for local educational standards, particularly for Montessori homeschool and international schools.
- Discounts at Garden of Francis on many downloadable elementary Montessori materials, including elementary Montessori charts, timelines, mathematics, language and more.
- Private online support for 150% the length of your course
- Permanent discussion community – After the course ends, you continue to gain from the elementary Montessori community!
- Four course options

we’d love the opportunity to continue Montessori training at home. There aren’t many options in our area and this works best for our child and family.
I think this fabulous giveaway would be the best continuation of Karen Tyler’s course of which I am a happy participant. My older son is almost 7 now so the information included in the training on elementary level would be priceless to his education
The fact that the course is conducted by the AMS teacher only adds to the value of the price
I wish all the best to the lucky winner
Blessings

This would be a Nice supplement to the 3 to 6 training my wife is currently working on.
I have wanted to purchase these albums, but $150 is my album budget rather than $300. This would make them right on target for me!
I’m a SAHM and am planning on homeschooling. The more I read about Montessori, the more I am convinced that is the route to go with my children’s education.
I am currently homeschooling Montessori (6.5 yo and 4.5 yo) using Gini Newcomb’s New Child program. I am currently looking for a program that would allow them to reach their God-given potential academically, and I feel Keys to the Universe would be the perfect fit to reach their new levels! I am so excited about your giveaway. Thanks!!! Erin
I have three children (8,6,2). Montessori is not available in our area, I would have to travel 8 hrs one way, so on-line is our only option. I would like to make Montessori my families life long learning style but need more direction to be able to do so, this would be an absolute blessing for my family and our community.

What a wonderful opportunity. As my son grows closer and closer to that 6 year mark, this will be extremely beneficial to our homeschool. Thanks for hosting the giveaway and thank you to Keys of the Universe!!!

I would love to win this wonderful giveaway because I currently homeschool our daughter who is fast-approaching elementary age. We currently incorporate Montessori-inspired work in and out of our school. But as I begin preparing our environment for “elementary”, I really struggle with finding/deciding appropriate level material as she grows closer to that age. To win would give me the tools required to continue our homeschooling in the way my daughter loves to learn and my family loves to teach.
Lovely opportunity. I am a stay-at-home-mom and am still considering whether to home-school my daughter Priscilla. This gift would tip me over the decision scale definitely. Thank you for your generosity!

I’d love to win the two albums. I’m currently taking Karen’s course for the 2-6 year olds and think this would be a natural progression

I am currently enrolled in Karen Tyler’s course and LOVE it! This giveaway would be an awesome opportunity to expand my knowledge for when my son gets older.
We don’t currently homeschool our boys, but we have in the past and I believe we will in the near future. My older son was a formal Montessori student from 18 months – 5 years old and is now 8 years old. While I feel reasonably confident I could instruct my younger son using Montessori methods, I don’t feel that way about my elementary aged son. I know this would really help with my confidence and knowledge. Thanks for the opportunity!
I have taken Karen Tyler’s course and enjoyed it. I have looked at the Keys to the Universe course before and would love to win this for my daughter!
I would love to win this giveaway. I finished studying preschool program in my city (Rīga, Latvia) and I would love tot win AMI-based training albums. Thank you for this opportunity!

I have always been interested in Montessori’s approach to the elemntary years, and would love to study it more in depth, especially now that my som is getting older.
I am currently taking the course from Karen Tyler, and I would love to take this course for my son! I have been wondering what I would do to learn about elementary Montessori.
This would be a great addition to materials we need for our non-profit Montessori education projects. Thank you and happy new year to everyone.
I have trained for 3-6 and have some experience in a 6-9 classroom. However, I would love to expand my knowledge of Montessori so that I can put what I know to good use here. I am based in the UK, and involved in helping people set up new Montessori primary free (elementary in the US) schools, and I would love to be able to do this course so that I can help them even more substantially.
Elementary training for homeschooling families sounds fascinating, and is a good first step towards the full training too!
I would LOVE to win it since I’ll be completely lost after Karen’s 3-6.
With 2 girls 6 & 8 in my house this would be excellent for us.
Putting the child first, and encouraging the child to learn is something brilliant! Would love to try it with my boy!
I’d like to win these because I’m planning to homeschool my son.

I really need this training to help me to continue to use the Montessori Method with my children that I homeschool. I want to be able to know how to use the materials, and to present the materials the correct way. Plus I just love learning:) Thank you for this opportunity.

I would like to win because I want to homeschool my son and these would be great!
Thank you for this opportunity! My oldest attended a wonderful Montessori preschool program at our local community college. We tried 2 public schools after that for K-1 (bumped to 2nd by Nov.) She has never been fully satisfied in school after having had the Montessori experience, so we are homeschooling now. I guess you could say our curriculum is a bit ecclectic right now but I would love to have the guidance for continuing Montessori in the elementary grades. Thanks again!
Hi Deb and everyone else!
This would be great….would love to use this for schooling my autistic 6.5 yr. old and 5 yr old girl. We are on a tight budget due to grad school so winning would be FANTASTIC!
Kristin
Thank you for this giveaway. I have been looking into getting some training materials so I can work more with my son.
Thanks for this wonderful giveaway. It gives me the chance to continue homeschooling my son (in KG right now) with the albums!
I mum 2 girls (6,3). We love Montessori.
I would love to vin.
the idea of homeschooling (not only pre, but the school) matures in me

what is blocking me is the lack of knowledge of what and how to do with my boys…
having such knowledge and access to the albums I could bravely decide to homeschool

I home school and have been using montessori inspired activities, however, the older our child gets, the more challenging this becomes! I’d love to have training to help me!
I would love to win this giveaway! This training could be a big help in homeschooling my six year old son. He has autism and thinks visual and that’s why I love Montessori method!
Thank you for the opportunity
