Activity of the Week – Playdough Table and Apple Playdough

September 27, 2010 By Deb Chitwood 20 Comments

If you have space in your kitchen, a great addition for preschoolers is a child-sized playdough/food-preparation/art table. Then your child can be engaged in constructive work while you’re working in the kitchen.

My Montessori Journey had a playdough table, which is set up photo for apple playdough.

Pink and Green Mama used the playdough apple idea with a Kool-Aid playdough recipe.

Joyful Mama’s Place made playdough apples with the red playdough and then added yellow and blue playdough for color mixing and color matching activities.

Here’s a slightly different twist on autumn apple activities with playdough. It’s an amazing apple pie playdough activity from Counting Coconuts! In the same post is a sensory tub and some other great autumn activities.

Please check out all the links – fantastic ideas for autumn fun with playdough!
