Free Math Downloads from KHT Montessori

February 1, 2017 By Deb Chitwood

If you’re a parent or preschool teacher, you might be wondering how to teach young children using Montessori methods. I have two free math downloads today that are perfect for teaching preschoolers. KHT Montessori is letting me host two examples of materials from the KHT math album. The numerals and counters presentation from the math album along with printable numerals and counters cards can be used as a first introduction to Montessori numerals and counters!

FREE Math Downloads from KHT Montessori

Free Numerals and Counters Presentation from KHT Montessori

This is one of the traditional Montessori math presentations. You can download 3 pages from the KHT Montessori math album here.

Free Numerals and Dots Cards from KHT Montessori

Numerals and Dots (Flashcards) printable has a great suggestion for use:
“Put together a basket containing 55 small objects. Have the child place one object on each of the red dots.”

This is a wonderful idea for children who aren’t quite ready to complete the traditional numerals and counters from 1-10. And it could easily be adapted for a theme, using exactly 55 of an object related to your current theme if you use a theme (or to the current season or holiday).

Download the numerals and dots cards here.

KHT Montessori (Updated Information)

Karen Tyler of KHT Montessori is AMS (American Montessori Society) certified and taught an online Montessori teacher training course for people who were unable to take formal Montessori training and Montessori teachers wanting to refresh their Montessori training. Karen has helped so many people through her KHT Montessori course! She retired in 2022. The freebies she generously gave to my readers are still available through my blog posts.

Her set of 12 teaching albums is still available to buy but only through Alison’s Montessori. You can buy the 12 Montessori albums from Karen Tyler (now listed under Alison’s Montessori Manuals) here.

We are homeschooling our son using montessori methods. I would love to have a more thorough understanding of how to give lessons and a broader sense of subjects. All the training I currently have is from the reading books and blogs. What fun to study in a more organized manner!

Even montessori trained people can learn from reading other people’s albums. I would love to have access to more albums as they always enrich my work as a mother and teacher.

Our family would love to have these albums! We recently moved and had to take our children out of their beloved Montessori school (where they were fortunate to attend thanks to scholarships). We have chosen to continue with Montessori homeschool and would appreciate the guidance of these albums.

Thank you for this opportunity to participate int he 12 months online Montessori Course!

I’ve been applying Montessori at home with my 3 years old son since he was 4 months old. It’s been an amazing journey and it led me to create a community of parents and teachers to share our knowledge and love for the Montessori philosophy. I’ve made a couple of courses on a smaller scale. Although, I don’t have any Montessori certification that sort of validates all my research.

This course would be an amazing source of well organised and straight forward knowledge that I can use at home and to keep up my work trying to “bring” the Montessori Method to my country.

Again, thank you for this giveaway! It’s a huge opportunity ♡

I am most interested in the Mathematics section of the curriculum, I love the Montessori math materials and look forward to learning more about how to introduce them and support learning with them at home.

I want to learn more about how to teach my preschooler in Montessori principles at home and how to supplement my elementary school children’s education at home using Montessori methods.

I think the most exciting module is Geology! I know that’s not a “CORE” topic normally emphasized, but it’s so fascinating. Children are naturally drawn to dirt and rocks and exploring the ground. This would be fantastic to add to our outdoor play!

What a great resource! I love the idea of working on these concepts with my children. I’ve been researching how to incorporate Montessori principles into our home learning. This would be an amazing boost to that goal!
