Free Math Downloads from KHT Montessori

February 1, 2017 By Deb Chitwood

If you’re a parent or preschool teacher, you might be wondering how to teach young children using Montessori methods. I have two free math downloads today that are perfect for teaching preschoolers. KHT Montessori is letting me host two examples of materials from the KHT math album. The numerals and counters presentation from the math album along with printable numerals and counters cards can be used as a first introduction to Montessori numerals and counters!

FREE Math Downloads from KHT Montessori

Free Numerals and Counters Presentation from KHT Montessori

This is one of the traditional Montessori math presentations. You can download 3 pages from the KHT Montessori math album here.

Free Numerals and Dots Cards from KHT Montessori

Numerals and Dots (Flashcards) printable has a great suggestion for use:
“Put together a basket containing 55 small objects. Have the child place one object on each of the red dots.”

This is a wonderful idea for children who aren’t quite ready to complete the traditional numerals and counters from 1-10. And it could easily be adapted for a theme, using exactly 55 of an object related to your current theme if you use a theme (or to the current season or holiday).

Download the numerals and dots cards here.

KHT Montessori (Updated Information)

Karen Tyler of KHT Montessori is AMS (American Montessori Society) certified and taught an online Montessori teacher training course for people who were unable to take formal Montessori training and Montessori teachers wanting to refresh their Montessori training. Karen has helped so many people through her KHT Montessori course! She retired in 2022. The freebies she generously gave to my readers are still available through my blog posts.

Her set of 12 teaching albums is still available to buy but only through Alison’s Montessori. You can buy the 12 Montessori albums from Karen Tyler (now listed under Alison’s Montessori Manuals) here.

You may say I’m a newbie, that’s why I always wondering what montessori methods is. And hey, who doesn’t like to win this giveaway prize? I would love to! Btw, I join a discussion group whose members are mothers who are passionate about children’s development. If I win, I will share the information and maybe lend these montessori teacher training albums, so that we can learn and implement how to do the montessori methods correctly. Wish us luck… *finger crossed* 🙂

I would love this material to use at the small Montessori preschool where I work- specifically to help me create works and to learn the proper way the materials aren’t to be used. I would also use it with my 3 year old grandson!

I have four little homeschooled boys who benefit greatly from the few Montessori inspired activities I have tried, I would love to expand my Montessori knowledge!

I love everything about Montessori. I attended a fantastic Montessori school from age3-7 and sent my 4 older kids to Montessori while we lived in Idaho. I haven’t been able to find one that I love as much now that we live in Utah, and have been purchasing Montessori works and various practical life things to try to duplicate some of that at home. I would love to have the training to be able to teach the materials well.

I would like to study Math most — it’s the materials that I least remember how to use and that my kids need the most.

It is hard to narrow it down to one subject! I think language would be the best one for me right now. They all look so interesting!

I would love to win this as I am homeschooling 7 (soon to be 8) children and have changed over to more of a montessori approach in the past year. Any training I could get would be greqt!

Practical life is easily my favorite part of Montessori, so I would be most interested in studying that in more detail. Also, my 3-year-old is very interested in letters right now, so language would also be helpful.

I’m very interested in homeschooling my children, I’m drawn to Montessori principles, but I’m feeling overwhelmed trying to understand how it can fit into a home environment without making us go broke! I would love to learn more in depth.

And it’s hard to pick 1 but probably maths. I did really badly at maths at school so would love to be able to give the little un a better go at it than I had.

Wow, I had been really wishing I had some extra cash so I could book myself onto this course! It would be great to win! I’m intending to homeschooling my daughter using the montessori method, she turns 3 this year. This course would be a massive boost to both our homeschooling and my confidence.

I would love to win the giveaway to help me plan my montessori homeschooling plans! I have a six year old that I tried my best to figure out all the montessori ways and despite my lack of training she still excelled. This program would just eliminate all the guess work!
