You don’t even need to be a techie to appreciate Montessori Compass. The interface is amazingly easy to use, and everything is autosaved so you can’t accidentally delete something important. Information is easy to edit with a minimum number of clicks needed to use everything. There are great templates with the site, although you can customize as well.
Montessori Compass isn’t just wonderful for teachers and schools … it’s also wonderful for Montessori parents! Montessori Compass helps you understand Montessori education through a directory of Montessori works and gives you a way to know what your child is doing at school. I am a music teacher. I have have used very littel technology in my classroom AND management of my teaching record keeping. I just came from a music education workshop and realized how much more I could offer my students with the use of technology. I am going to use this summer to climb this learning curve and make greater use of technology in the classroom.

I’d like to win an iPad 2 because it would be great to have a lightweight way to check e-mail when I’m out and about.
One feature I like is that everything gets saved to the cloud. Accessed from anywhere.
I love that it does everything from one place, record keeping, parent involvement and parent communication, to name a few. another favorite feature is the auto-save!! I currently use MRX which does not have that and it is so frustrating when you change the page you’re on and you’ve lost the work you just did! Also, it’s geared to any age level, not just elementary and above. I love it! Can’t wait to get started!
I watched the video and liked the record keeping under dash board. I also though auto save was fantastic.
