A moon unit is great at any time, but this week is an especially good time to study the moon. July 16, 1969, was the liftoff of the Apollo 11 Lunar Landing Mission. July 20 is the anniversary of the first walk on the moon.
I’ve published some astronomy posts before: ABC Letter Box and Astronaut Unit, Montessori-Inspired Astronomy Activities, and Montessori-Inspired Star and Constellation Unit. You’ll find lots of great astronomy activities there.
Here, I’ll list some specific Montessori-inspired moon unit studies along with some Montessori-inspired moon activities that have been published since my earlier posts.

Such a forward-thinking approach to a childs education. I’ll most certainly be reading more about Montessori for when I welcome my little angel into our lives!
