Today, I have a free 11-page book study from KHT Montessori for Montessori Learning in the 21st Century: A Guide for Parents & Teachers by M. Shannon Helfrich.
Free 11-Page Book Study for Montessori Learning in the 21st Century from KHT Montessori
Here are Karen Tyler’s comments about the 11-page book study:
“The two chapters I choose talk about The relevance of Montessori in modern times. It covers rethinking about how the brain develops in your children. It talks about our genes and what they contribute. It continues with the prime times in the life of a child where they acquire different kinds of knowledge and skills.
“The second chapter will talk about how children master language. It covers how many of us ‘baby talk’ to babies/children and it goes into a timeline so that we can all understand easily how to assist a young child master language…. this chapter talks about how to raise a child up in an environment where more than one language is spoken.
“I believe there is a little something for every person and I hope it excites everyone so that they seek to learn even more!”
This printable is a free instant download, courtesy of KHT Montessori! You can download the 11-page book study here.
Note: You don’t need to buy the book to enjoy the book study. But the book is definitely worth having.

I’m raising kids with intentional bilingualism and the Montessori method. We live in Poland and our extra language is English. The course would definitely aid me in supporting my children in their development, help me acquire skills to become a better parent and, hopefully, a homeschooling practitioner in the near future.

I’m a public school teacher interested in teaching Montessori to my children. The course would help me build foundational skills in the Montessori method in order to better serve my children and community

I would most love to indulge in the Language part of the curriculum – being a non-native speaker of English but raising my kids in intentional bilingualism with that language it remains my biggest challenge.

I am most interested in the mathematics section of the curriculum because that is the area in which I need the most inspiration to make things interesting for my preschooler!

I have been homeschooling my five children for going on twelve years. I hit a wall at the beginning of last year with my younger two and decided I needed to change my approach to the way I was “schooling” them. The Montessori method has revolutionized the way my children learn and I feel they would benefit even more from me having a more concrete understanding of how it all works as well as more tools to implement with them.
