Free Invertebrate Cards & Presentations, Including Bug Activities from KHT Montessori

June 9, 2017 By Deb Chitwood

Children are typically fascinated by invertebrates. Invertebrates can also be a perfect theme for spring or summer. I’m excited today to share some Montessori resources that are both fun and educational for spring or summer (or any time of year). KHT Montessori is letting me host free invertebrate cards and presentations, including bug activities. These pages are part of the zoology manual from KHT Montessori.

Free Invertebrate Cards and Presentations, Including Bug Activities from KHT Montessori

These are free instant downloads, courtesy of KHT Montessori!

You can download Zoology – Invertebrates – Introduction and Cards here. These materials can be used to discuss the characteristics of invertebrates and prepare an invertebrate basket.

You can download some great bug activities (Zoology – Invertebrates – To Borrow a Bug and Building a Bug House) here. I love that the first activity reinforces the concept of invertebrates, the vocabulary that bugs are insects (and invertebrates), and the idea that we just borrow bugs and return them gently to their homes. The second activity gives a tutorial for making a simple bug home and discussing what a bug needs to live.

KHT Montessori (Updated Information)

Karen Tyler of KHT Montessori is AMS (American Montessori Society) certified and taught an online Montessori teacher training course for people who were unable to take formal Montessori training and Montessori teachers wanting to refresh their Montessori training. Karen has helped so many people through her KHT Montessori course! She retired in 2022. The freebies she generously gave to my readers are still available through my blog posts.

Her set of 12 teaching albums is still available to buy but only through Alison’s Montessori. You can buy the 12 Montessori albums from Karen Tyler (now listed under Alison’s Montessori Manuals) here.

Living in a place where the educational facilities are pretty basic, I can’t seem to get my high functioning extra intelligent 5 year old boy to be interested in traditional schooling and in turn he is becoming an aggressive and angry child. This course gives me an opportunity to nurture his love for Learning and to open up a new world for him.

I wish to apply Montessori in my home environment, and with the proper education, eventually engage with homeschooling.

I would love to win this course because Montessori has fascinated me since I discovered it in a mom group. I love how children are just allowed to work at their own pace and not judged for who they are. I love seeing how they learn and discover the world and make me see the world at different angles. This course would be amazing in helping me with my children and follow more and doing more the Montessori way.

I would love to win this giveaway as I’ve just been fumbling through Montessori principles as I homeschool my children! My daughter will definitely like the Zoology book!

I really want to win because I am going to begin homeschooling NYC 3 almost 4 year old this year. I’m pretty nervous and really want this course to help guide me and provide me with the materials I need. I have been feeling oh so overwhelmed when I see the amounts of information online. I like everything I need to be in one place, organized, and most importantly manageable. The curriculum albums I am looking most forward to are Languages and Math as I don’t know how Languages and Math materials are to be used.

    HI,
I would love to have access to the Montessori Albums. I’m the mother of three adorable children, and teaching the last one from home. I’m French so sorry for the poor English … My little one is sick and cannot go outside very often and cannot go and play with other kids otherwise he gets sick. If I have access to Montessori Albums I will be able to teach him the best I can. He’s 2 and a half and really really adorable!
    Thanks!

I would love to take the training, because I’ve gone through the Montessori crash course, and found the information so valuable! I would love to be able to expand my knowledge and skill and use that in homeschooling my three children!

I have been teaching since 1996, and am new to Montessori. I have found that the information and resources availble here at Living Montessori Now and at KHT Montessori are invaluable! I visit often, and apply the information and resources I daily. I am very interested in learning more and would love the opportunity to be a part of the instructional course being offered by KHT Montessori.

I’ve wanted to get Montessori training to homeschool my daughter but the distance, time commitment and cost has been prohibitive. I’d love to win this online training to help get me started!

I would absolutely love to get the KHT training and manuals. Specifically, I’m interested in how to introduce science using Montessori principles.

I have been considering Montessori training to better teach my preschooler at home, but cost is the issue, so to win this would be phenomenal!

    Hello from Malaysia!

I would really love to win the training. I just started teaching primary class in September last year. I have applied some Montessori methods in my class and I feel that I could improve my lessons when I incorporate standard school teaching method and some Montessori method.

I would love to take the training to use it with my autistic kid, it would an oportunity to enhance our homeschool curriculum.
