If you’re a parent or preschool teacher, you might be wondering how to teach young children using Montessori methods. I have two free math downloads today that are perfect for teaching preschoolers. KHT Montessori is letting me host two examples of materials from the KHT math album. The numerals and counters presentation from the math album along with printable numerals and counters cards can be used as a first introduction to Montessori numerals and counters!

Free Numerals and Counters Presentation from KHT Montessori
This is one of the traditional Montessori math presentations. You can download 3 pages from the KHT Montessori math album here.
Free Numerals and Dots Cards from KHT Montessori
Numerals and Dots (Flashcards) printable has a great suggestion for use:
“Put together a basket containing 55 small objects. Have the child place one object on each of the red dots.”
This is a wonderful idea for children who aren’t quite ready to complete the traditional numerals and counters from 1-10. And it could easily be adapted for a theme, using exactly 55 of an object related to your current theme if you use a theme (or to the current season or holiday).
Download the numerals and dots cards here.

KHT Montessori (Updated Information)
Karen Tyler of KHT Montessori is AMS (American Montessori Society) certified and taught an online Montessori teacher training course for people who were unable to take formal Montessori training and Montessori teachers wanting to refresh their Montessori training. Karen has helped so many people through her KHT Montessori course! She retired in 2022. The freebies she generously gave to my readers are still available through my blog posts.
Her set of 12 teaching albums is still available to buy but only through Alison’s Montessori. You can buy the 12 Montessori albums from Karen Tyler (now listed under Alison’s Montessori Manuals) here.

My son attends a non Montessori nursery, so I try to do as much as I can st home following this method, so winning this would be a great help!
Would love to win the album, Montessori style works well for my son with Down syndrome and have twin 1 year olds who will be up and coming in our homeschool.
I’m interested in studying the practical life material, because I think that those skills are very necessary for a child to become more independent.
I have a daughter and huge interest in Montessori. I’ve read about Montessori on the Internet and recently got some books I can’t wait to dig in. There sure is a lot of information and sometimes it is hard to understand how to learn everything I need, so this course would be perfect.
My daughter is nearly 4 and we have made the decision to homeschool because despite being a former secondary school teacher I’ve lost faith in the British education system especially when my daughter is extremely bright but her learning style does not fit the approach of the typical British classroom (sit down shut up) and despite living in a rural village our local primary school will have a full intake for her first year. She would be lost in a classroom of 40+ and she is too important.
Thus these materials would go far to help me refresh my primary skills and feel confident I am doing thhe best I can for her.
I would like to learn more so I am better prepared to homeschool my children. I thought the geography album was so well presented and organized, and I know the other albums will be as well. This is such a great Montessori resource!
I would like to understand and learn the beauty of Montessori for my grandkids. Math mostly I am interested.
I would like to understand and learn the beauty of Montessori for my grandkids.
I have a very simple Montessori style setup in my home for my 3.5 year old daughter. I have been making most of my supplies and trying to gather information on how to teach her. It would be extremely helpful for me to have such a resource available!
I would love to win this giveaway! I’m really interested in Montessori and everything that goes with it! It would be great opportunity for me and my two year old son. I would love to apply the approach more on our every day life and to complete his schooling!
We have a 5, 3 and 1.5 year old who would definitely benefit from these resources! While our 5 year old could do workbooks all day and enjoy it (for now, at least), our 3 year old needs more of a montessori approach to learning. I am a firm believer that learning can take place anywhere and at any time and that you’re nevertheless too young to learn, and these resources would truly be a huge blessing in reaching a point of teaching my kids in the way they best learn. Homeschool fits our lifestyle right now. It may not always, but for the time being, we want to focus on being a tight-knit family that experiences life and education at their fullest… together!
I would love to win this as I’d like to incorporate Montessori programing in my family child care program.
I would love to win this course and albums to help as I homeschool my 4 children ages 1.5-6.
I’d love to win these resources for my 5 YO son who love Montessori methods.
I’d love to win these resources to teach my 5 YO son. We love Montessori methods!
Montessori has been such an amazing lifestyle for us! Seeing the joy and independence in our children is truly magical! For the past four years I’ve been devouring any information and training I can, but there is just so much I still need to learn! There aren’t any Montessori schools in our area, and I would love to be as well trained as possible, not only for my 3 homeschooled children, but also to help spread my love of Montessori, and open a Montessori Homeschool Co-op. My husband is so incredibly supportive, and wants so much for me to be able to take courses when the budget allows! The KHT online course would be such a huge blessing to us, and to other homeschooled children in our area once our co-op is established!
My two year old son is flourishing with the Montessori principles that I have started with him, but my intention is to homeschool up to highschool with all of my children and would love a firm base of a love of learning for them! I’ve wanted to take a Montessori course for about a year now, but it’s just not possible for us to afford it right now. WInning such helpful resources would be a prayer answered!
This is my first time hearing of the KHT curriculum and I am intrigued! I worked as a special education teacher before staying home with my daughter, and now son. My purpose for staying home was to give them a rich learning environment leading up to the school years, then homeschooling after that. I have been in love with the Montessori method for years before having my children, but have not been able to access training that would guide me to implement the methods at home. Thank you for highlighting this resource and I will look into it further!
I am planning on homeschooling my children using Montessori principles and would love to win such great resources. My almost 2 year old daughter is by my side most of the day learning practical life skills but would like to incorporate other Montessori ideas into our daily routine.
My son is just under three and is flourishing so much in his learning. It’s hard to keep up with the rate he soaks everything up. I have chosen to homeschool my son and I try my best to balance out his learning each day and throughout the week. But it would be a real lifesaver to have access to this so I can learn as much as I can within the time limits I have. A balanced experience for my son is what I ideally would like to aim for so this would help a lot.
