Free Math Downloads from KHT Montessori

February 1, 2017 By Deb Chitwood

If you’re a parent or preschool teacher, you might be wondering how to teach young children using Montessori methods. I have two free math downloads today that are perfect for teaching preschoolers. KHT Montessori is letting me host two examples of materials from the KHT math album. The numerals and counters presentation from the math album along with printable numerals and counters cards can be used as a first introduction to Montessori numerals and counters!

FREE Math Downloads from KHT Montessori

Free Numerals and Counters Presentation from KHT Montessori

This is one of the traditional Montessori math presentations. You can download 3 pages from the KHT Montessori math album here.

Free Numerals and Dots Cards from KHT Montessori

Numerals and Dots (Flashcards) printable has a great suggestion for use:
“Put together a basket containing 55 small objects. Have the child place one object on each of the red dots.”

This is a wonderful idea for children who aren’t quite ready to complete the traditional numerals and counters from 1-10. And it could easily be adapted for a theme, using exactly 55 of an object related to your current theme if you use a theme (or to the current season or holiday).

Download the numerals and dots cards here.

KHT Montessori (Updated Information)

Karen Tyler of KHT Montessori is AMS (American Montessori Society) certified and taught an online Montessori teacher training course for people who were unable to take formal Montessori training and Montessori teachers wanting to refresh their Montessori training. Karen has helped so many people through her KHT Montessori course! She retired in 2022. The freebies she generously gave to my readers are still available through my blog posts.

Her set of 12 teaching albums is still available to buy but only through Alison’s Montessori. You can buy the 12 Montessori albums from Karen Tyler (now listed under Alison’s Montessori Manuals) here.

My family with three precious kids is starting the montessori homeschooling journey this year. I feel I can use a great deal of help and winning this training sounds like the right thing in the right moment!

I would be most interested in the English album.

I would be interested to do a course on Montessori as I’m always looking for ways to better educate my children in the home. I’ve read books and blog posts but doing a course would be much more beneficial. My children are 2 and 5, so would benefit greatly from me being better equipped.

The success of the child depends on the engagement of the parent and I would love to learn from the experts on how to integrate Montessori into my children’s educational journey.

I would love to win! I’m a homeschool mum to 3 (hoepfully more in the future) in UK! I love Montessori and try to incorporate more Montessori as I go along. This package would be so helpful.

All sound great but I would love to study history most first as that’s something that currently interests my children.

Of the subjects I would love to see what Physical Science is all about. As a team my daughter and I have explored in depth zoology, botany, she is a top notch reader. So this one piques my interest.

My daughter and I started Montessori last year. It really works with her when I feel guided to follow her lead, which seems like an oxymoron. But in order to guide you have to follow. I could use the support of the course. I have been reading several of my favorite blogs and joined many webinars. But nothing would feel better than to be trained. Thank you for the opportunity!

I would love to win this training because I am preschool teacher who has incorporated Montessori into my classroom for many years. While I incorporate a great deal of Montessori, I am not trained in the Montessori Method (I have my degree in education and a teaching certificate), and this program would help improve my teaching. Thank you!

I am new to Montessori and loving this blog. I am a parent and teacher and I’m also a co-founder of a school that was created to revitalize our language which is Kanyen’keha aka Mohawk. It is highly endangered so our school is here to help our children learn their language in a natural setting through practical activities. We were waldorf inspired but a mentor whom is both waldorf & Montessori trained has highly recommended Montessori as a means of creating meaningful language activities. I would love to win this giveaway to learn more and to help us incorporate Montessori into our daily activities. Thank you for the opportunity.
