What a wonderful prize! Here in Oregon, we (In-Home Family Child Care Providers) are required to complete 8-10 hours of continuing education each year, just to renew our licensing. This would make be a fabulous opportunity!
I’m currently homeschooling my 2 kids (42month old and 18month old) with no “hard” curriculum. We do a bit of Montessori but it’s mostly “following the child’s lead” 🙂 It would be really helpful if I win the manuals and online course so I can “teach” my kids better with the Montessori method. I am trying to learn more about Montessori for homeschooling my 3, 5, and 7 year olds. I would love to win these albums, I was just looking at them last week!
I am a teacher at a small independent rural pre-primary and primary school in the Eastern Cape of South Africa that mainly caters for middle class Xhosa-speaking children. Our principal is open to my suggestion to incorporate Montessori principles in the pre-primary phase (we have approximately 30 learners). I’m very eager and am learning as much as I can, as fast as I can via the Internet (there are no training facilities close by) but feel a little overwhelmed. The course & albums would be such a huge help to get us up and running!

I would absolutely LOVE to win this! I am a big fan of Montesourri-style teaching, and have been trying to do it by myself, as I find more free info on the web. My daughter has just started Grade 1 homeschool, and can benefit. My son (4) would REALLY benefit from this style of learning: structure, simplicity, yet teaching the child to learn independently. He loves to do things himself, or alone. Both kids love to discover their worlds. I am also teaching a friend’s son, as well as teaching English classes to kids in Taiwan. I think that I could greatly influence many kids and parents through the use of this curriculum. We live in a small city in Taiwan, and there are no MOntesourri schools nearby. It is not well known/understood here. It would be a God-send to have English curriculum, FREE curriculum and above all, MONTESOURRI curriculum & TRAINING. I would be OVER the MOON, deliriously happy. This course would be what I need to kickstart my kids’ education and my teaching career (home-school/teaching EFL).

I came to know about Montessori just some weeks ago. After reading the very first concept of Montessori teaching, I am in love with it. This is a fantastic opportunity to get Montessori training. I have two boys, ages 2 and 4, and I am doing my best to homeschool them the Montessori way. I am a stay at home mother and we just can’t afford to send them to a traditional Montessori school. I am hoping to go back to the University of Southern California to complete my degree in Psychology, which I started over 10 years ago, but didn’t complete because I left to help my family because my aunt had been diagnosed with cancer and my uncle needed help caring for her and my grandmother. I will have an even more limited budget if I can work out going back to school, but would like to be able to teach my kids Montessori and winning this would be very helpful to me. I would be grateful.
I would love to win this because I have a two year old that loves Montessori. It would also be great to recommend to his teachers. My two year old is so curious, and active and this type of thing would be perfect to give him so new direction. I love the Montessori principles and have slowly been setting up his room, and our house with a Montessori style.
