Montessori Compass is designed to help Montessori teachers and schools keep records and communicate with parents easily and efficiently. It’s available for schools with infants-grade 12.

You don’t even need to be a techie to appreciate Montessori Compass. The interface is amazingly easy to use, and everything is autosaved so you can’t accidentally delete something important. Information is easy to edit with a minimum number of clicks needed to use everything. There are great templates with the site, although you can customize as well.
Montessori Compass isn’t just wonderful for teachers and schools … it’s also wonderful for Montessori parents! Montessori Compass helps you understand Montessori education through a directory of Montessori works and gives you a way to know what your child is doing at school. Well, my son watched the video with me . . . which I thought was way cute. One of the things I like best is just being able to document the activity, take a picture and have it stored . . . with school stuff. (That really wasn’t a very good sentence!)

I would love to win because we are a homeschooling family with 4 kids. I’ve seen so many great apps out there for the kids to use, but we don’t have an iPad or iPod.
I would use an iPad2 for my son in our Tot School time. I would also probably take it to class with me from time to time, since I am in grad school.
I think that an iPad can be a wonderful educational tool and a great way for parents and children to interact.
