You don’t even need to be a techie to appreciate Montessori Compass. The interface is amazingly easy to use, and everything is autosaved so you can’t accidentally delete something important. Information is easy to edit with a minimum number of clicks needed to use everything. There are great templates with the site, although you can customize as well.
Montessori Compass isn’t just wonderful for teachers and schools … it’s also wonderful for Montessori parents! Montessori Compass helps you understand Montessori education through a directory of Montessori works and gives you a way to know what your child is doing at school. I got to try one out about a month ago and had fun with the handwriting apps. I would use one for work and school with my own kids.
I would love to win an iPad. I am planning to start “officially” homeschooling my oldest next year and I think it would be really helpful for that!
I really appreciate that Montessori Compass runs on an iPad also, that is a lot less intrusive and also allows for taking notes right where you are, rather than transferring it later on from paper onto your desktop application.
Oh, how much I would love an iPad for our homeschool! My kids love reading and since they are bilingual it would be so much cheaper downloading books, rather than hauling them from Europe! I would also be able to do a lot more class preparation while waiting for them to get done with their “extracurricular activities”!

I would LOVE to win this iPad2! I have already taken the demo for Montessori Compass and plan to use it next school year. In all honesty I am not sure exactly why I want to win. I know from what I read about I Pads they offer opportunities for learning on the go.
