You don’t even need to be a techie to appreciate Montessori Compass. The interface is amazingly easy to use, and everything is autosaved so you can’t accidentally delete something important. Information is easy to edit with a minimum number of clicks needed to use everything. There are great templates with the site, although you can customize as well.
Montessori Compass isn’t just wonderful for teachers and schools … it’s also wonderful for Montessori parents! Montessori Compass helps you understand Montessori education through a directory of Montessori works and gives you a way to know what your child is doing at school. From visiting the website, I learned that teachers can send a daily or weekly classroom digest message.
I like how it’s organized. It seems very user friendly and easy to navigate.
My husband’s laptop is on its last legs. I don’t think an iPad can exactly replace his laptop but I think it would tide him over until we can afford a full replacement. Or, who knows, he might just be happy with an iPad.
I love how MC at a glance can show where students are which helps teachers plan lessons for them
I am new to Montessori….I am a 32 year old stay at home mom to my 2 year old son. I have a desktop computer that work well enough, but is old and slow. I would love to be able to use the IPad to easily read blogs and articles, search for activities and also to use it to look up pictures, video, etc for research when my son has questions regarding things that we may be talking about or studying that day.

I love the Online Progress Reports. This allows us to understand the child´s progress, a very important concern for us (as parents).
