I wrote before about Karen Tyler’s Montessori Training Course and gave you ways to get her wonderful geography album and 3-part botany and zoology cards for free. In Karen’s training course, not only do you receive 12 albums with over 5,000 pages of activities and presentations, but you also receive lectures and can correspond with Karen, a certified AMS teacher, throughout your course. You may schedule Skype consultations with Karen as well. I have taught public school for 10 years and recently became a SAHM when my son was born in 2008. His birthday is just past the cut-off for him to attend preschool this year so we’ll be doing it at home! This would give us some awesome tips for doing it right and getting him ready.

i have been involved with preschool education as both an assistant and classroom / lead teacher. i would like to incorporate more of montessori’s activities, philosophies. alas, i teach in a very small school and there is little to no extra monies to help with the cost of professional development / training. with this in my hands, i not only could grow as a teacher and expand my tools, but could surely encourage others around me. pay it forward, if you will.

I’d like to win this set to incorporate Montessori into our home “life.” I don’t technically homeschool, but I feel like all the wonderful time we spend at home is always learning. As an educator, I have the summers off, and I’m really enjoying this time with my 1 and 3 yr olds. We use Montessori a lot as routines and activities.
