Montessori-Inspired Bird Unit

Montessori-Inspired Bird Unit

A bird unit study can be a great zoology unit for schools and homeschools at any time of the year. Of course, I especially think of studying birds in the spring and before Easter, a natural time to study eggs. But whenever you choose to study birds, there are lots of amazing Montessori-inspired bird resources available!

Thank you for featuring our mini bird book and thank you for so many other links!! We’re almost finished with our bird unit. The kids have each chosen a specific bird to learn more about and Little J will be writing a report on his choice. We are planning a visit to a raptor center as our end of unit celebration.

Perfect timing! My boys took a trip to the local world bird sanctuary today with my their grandparents. They loved it and my 2 year old has been saying, “bird, bird, bird.” all evening! I’ll have to find some fun stuff to do with them tomorrow to continue the learning.
