Last week, I discussed my family’s experiences with child-led patriotism. Here’s a link to some Montessori-oriented activities from Counting Coconuts that continue the patriotism theme.
Counting Coconuts has lots of wonderful Montessori-oriented activities for preschoolers. The Counting Coconuts post on Fourth of July activities has a number of activities that can be used to celebrate the Fourth of July holiday or to reinforce patriotism throughout the year.
Which of the Fourth of July activities is your favorite?

This year, my favorite 4th of July activity was singing praises to God and thanking Him for our freedom that He has given us!

I love your post on child-led patriotism! How precious that your kids had their own parade right in the middle of your house. 🙂

Thanks, Sue! We definitely have lots of great memories from those in-house parades. As much as we loved attending parades as a family, I still think the in-house ones were the best.

You share such great activities and such encouraging posts for us as home educators! Thank you, Deb!
Btw, I thought about you when my youngest son and I were out exploring the world of rollie-pollies today. 🙂

What a cool site! I'm a homeschooling mom and always looking for cool activities. When my daughter was younger I used a lot of the Montessori methods — could have used your blog back then for a one-stop shop! But now I'll come to visit and see what I can incorporate in our home learning that would be fun.
Thanks for participating in Robyn's Mingle Monday!
And, by the way, you don't look 35 much less having been married 35 years! Healthy and pure living is good. 😉

Wow! You just made my day, Sara! Thanks so much!
