Since both my children have been babies they only experienced Montessori institutions. Now at the age of 4 and 7 yo, our private Montessori school is not sure if they will offer us a contract for the next school year. My children are attending this institution for one respectively two years, never caused any problems and it is the only Montessori school in this country and the next one is about 3 hours away. They blame me not having confidence in the school as I am asking questions like what material they are using, how they use it as I am passionate about Montessori, gained some knowledge these past years and do not want to irritate my children especially in practical life activities by doing it differently than at school. Two of my daughter’s new teachers do not have any Montessori diploma or education, one of them being the new head teacher. They are just studying it while they are teaching by watching the other teacher and get some formation by another one. They are coming from regular schools and using their discipline skills they have learned there-with the result that my daughter often is frightened by their screaming. I talked to the teacher, director etc but the result is that they blame me for showing no confidence. I really want yo provide my children a Montessori education but I guess I have to starting home schooling them. This price would be like a new life chapter for us and being a great starting point as well as enabling us to continue our Montessori path. The inspector who decides whether we can homeschool or not would also be impressed by it,too, I guess;)

I am currently very interested in the language album as my son has been begging me to teach him to read since he was fifteen months old. I would love more guidance in how to satiate his strong desire and aptitude for reading!

We are homeschooling our son (and probably soon to be others) and would love to use Montessori for everything BUT I have very few ideas on where to start. I have read anything and everything about Montessori that I can get my hands on and frequently follow blogs for ideas. I would love further training and understanding on how to truly implement a Montessori curriculum in our home…and possibly in the future in a true school setting:)

Looking forward to utilizing these materials and the course insights for my 2 kids (3 and 6 yo) here in Romania where the Montessori way is not that spread.

I would absolutely love to win this. I have two boy (6 and almost 5) at Montessori and a toddler whom I’m trying to do Montessori stuff with – she’s so ready for “school” but has to wait till 2.5. I also run a Catechesis of the Good Shepherd atrium and can always use more Montessori knowledge to help with that. And I’ve recently seriously starting thinking about becoming a Montessori teacher. I’ve gained so much knowledge over the last 3.5 years but it would be so wonderful to do an actual course to fill in some gaps and give me more of an idea of where I want to go next.

Wow! I would love to win this! I am a homeschooling mom to 7 children ages 9 and under. I have just started using Montessori ideas in our home over the last three weeks and the kids love it. So much to learn, make and do to keep up with their quick minds, but this seems to be a great fit for our family right now. I would love to have more training and resources to know how to teach these things to my children! I did recently buy your book and the children are loving their grace and courtesy lessons. Your blog has been a huge blessing to me as I start this journey for my family.

    May God bless you!

    Cathy

I am a mother of a one year old. I have been myself to a Montessori school up to age 11, but I couldn’t remember much. Then baby was born, and I started reading M.M.’s books. It all makes so much sense!
Even since, I have tried to change my attitude – trying to step back, and let my child lead the way. Incorporate “Montessori” in our-daily life. Yet, I work full time. And I would like to get consistent preparation in order to do it in the best way as possible. I also tried to join an official AMI course, but as an english-italian speaker in a french speaking country, I couldnt. I’d love for this possiblity!

I am a stay at home mom to a 2 year all. I have fallen in love with the montessori philosophy since the birth of my daughter. We have adapted all the spaces in our house montessori style and I prepare weekly montessori activities for our daughter. I would love to learn more about montessori not only to practice it with my daughter but because it has become my dream to open a bilingual montessori school.

I currently homeschool my two boys (2 and 5), but also serve on the Board of Directors for a local non-profit organization that is trying to build a Montessori preschool and lower elementary school in NC. I could really use this certification not only for improving the Montessori learning environment for my own kids but for bringing Montessori learning to my entire community. Thank you for your consideration!

Of all of the 12 subject areas, I would most like to study the astronomy section, as I have never seen a Montessori astronomy unit. I have read a lot about the “regulars”: Practical life, sensorial, language, math, etc., but the astronomy is new to me and very intriguing!

My dream is to open a Montessori school for Primary through Elem. II; however, I am only certified for Elem I. I am going to need to be trained for primary! What a blessing this would be to get me the training I need. Currently I homeschool 5 of my 6 kids, so I would put this to use right away-even before I open the school. Thank you for a chance at this amazing opportunity!

My preK son has significant expressive speech delays so having a multitude of resources for hands on structured learning can help him work on that while exposing him to new information. He really struggles with communicating what he wants to do and can’t ask questions yet, so gentle learning guidance with lots of variation would be up his alley I believe.
