My short term goal for usage of this training:
I would like to have more formalized ability to support the Montessori schooling that my 4-year old is currently receiving so that we can strengthen and deepen what she is learning within the program, as well as to support her peers in their developing learning spheres, as we regularly bring those children into our home for play dates and alternative back up child care.
My long term goal for usage of this training: I’ve got aspirations of completing preschool / elementary school teaching degree focused on science education and would like that work to be significantly influenced by Montessori principles. Since I work as technical editor for environmental consulting company I run with my husband, have background working as health care interpreter in Japanese and Spanish as well as education in massage therapy, I feel that teaching sciences to young children would fit well with my career path.
This would be great for me to use and have quality time with my grandchildren while helping them prepare for school. I use many of the ideas already but would love to have the resources to know how to get the full benefit from them.
I want to win because i would love to open a Montessori center in my country in central america to give children the opportunity to enjoy education and change somehow the education in El Salvador.
I like the Montessori approach. We recently moved to a new home & are starting homeschooling with our 3 year old. We have very limited resources. I would love to win this to get us on the right track.

I am a mother of 6 girls, and home-schooled my girls (and 3 other children at various times) for 18 years. I read a little bit about Montessori methods when my oldest daughter was young, and have always been fascinated! At present, I am helping my 4th daughter with her 4 children (ages 10 months to 6 years), two of whom are autistic (the 2-year-old and the 6-year-old). Were I to win, I would be so delighted to be able to add another dimension to the lives of all 4 children. It would be a wonderful blessing, I’m sure!

We are doing some Montessori as well as Waldorf things in our little homeschool – and now we have branched out to open a small mother’s day out program once per week! Most of the mothers do not have time or information about Montessori, and I would love to have more detail and expertise than what I’ve read online. I would love to have this course & the albums!!!

I love the skills my daughter has acquired from her Montessori preschool – I’ve loved watching her grow into such an independent and confident child.
