I used to be a public school teacher. Now I stay home with my children and teach their home-based preschool two days a week. What my husband and I have seen in the public schools (he has done a lot of volunteer work in elementary schools) makes us nervous for our children. We have often debated homeschooling, and Montessori has always intrigued me as an option. I have done what minimal research I feel has been available to me but am not finding enough quality material to cement my understandign. This training would be over-the-top amazing.

I would love to win the training because I understand the importance of the Montessori Philosophy. I’ve implemented Montessori at home since my daughter’s (who has just turned four)second birthday. I’m not a certified Montessori teacher, but reading and researching this method has become part of my daily life for the last two and half years. The Montessori approach to education has had a profound impact on how my husband and I raise our daughter and I often considered taking a course to learn more and perhaps enter a new career path. This would be wonderful for me! I was hit by a drunk driver just over a year ago & ever since my daughter has been in daycare as I am not strong enough to care for her yet. She was 6 months at the time of the crash (I thank God everyday that it was one of the few times she wasn’t with me) & is 19 months now. With this course, I could study as I become stronger & when I am ready I will be a great teacher for her & be able to raise her the way I dreamt about since before she was born.
I am an assistant teacher at a Montessori Preschool where my 3 year old daughter attends school. I have been searching for a training that will fit into my schedule over the next year as I take on a full-time schedule at the school. This training would be absolutely perfect! I would love to win for a few different reasons. I want to win for my preschooler at home, also because I am a teacher who is looking to become Montessori certified to begin a new career in teaching once my son is in school full time.
I have been incorporating Montessori at home into our lives since my 3 yr old was 20 months, and as I renovate our home. I want to home school our children and could REALLY use some materials to use!
