Disclosure: I received a Little Partners 3-in-1 Growing Step Stool to facilitate my review. I was not required to write a positive review. My opinions are honest and my own.
My granddaughter and I have been in love with the Little Partners Learning Tower I reviewed in November, so I was very happy to be asked to do a review of the new Little Partners 3-in-1 Growing Step Stool. I really appreciated the sturdy and safe construction of the original Learning Tower. Because it’s designed to hold up to 500 pounds, though, it is large and not super easy to move around. It’s perfect for activities where a child stands at the counter to help with a project like baking or works at his or her own activity close to an adult (very useful during those “sticky” toddler stages where the toddler likes to be near someone at all times).
The new 3-in-1 step stool has the same safe, sturdy construction but is also easily movable.
About the 3-in-1 Growing Step Stool by Little Partners
- The 3-in-1 Growing Step Stool is a super-safe stool manufactured by Little Partners.
- It’s made from durable birch wood with poplar core LVL Construction. (Like the Learning Tower, it has a very nice finish and feel. The beauty of it fits well with the Montessori philosophy of having the child’s environment as attractive as possible.)
- There’s a 3-position adjustable height.
- The tongue in groove assembly gives the step stool lots of strength and stability.
- It supports both children and adults up to 250 lbs.
- It works perfectly in the kitchen, bathroom, or nursery.
- The 3-in-1 Growing Step Stool is available in white, grey, or espresso.

My Experience with the 3-in-1 Growing Step Stool
The 3-in-1 Growing Step Stool was easily assembled. It was also easily moved to where I wanted it. I decided to store mine in the bathroom right off my kitchen. That way, Zoey can use it in the bathroom, and my husband and I can use it as a step stool in the kitchen. Except for the lowest height using the double board, the steps aren’t very deep for an adult, but they still work. And I love that it’s so sturdy. I can feel safe and stable reaching the highest cabinets in my kitchen.
Another day, I tried leaving the step stool next to the cold-water faucet so that Zoey could be completely independent in washing her hands. With the step stool in this position, she can turn on the cold-water faucet (but not the hot-water faucet) and wash her hands safely and independently.
Zoey was so proud … as you can see in the photo! 🙂
The 3-in-1 Growing Step Stool is another product I highly recommend because of its safety and high-quality construction.

“This would be the perfect solution to my daughter longing to wash her hands and brush her teeth at the sink as opposed to the bathtub. She sees her brother, dad, and I (as well as family and friends) using the sink. It frustrates her that she is not tall enough. And she is so independent and full of pride that she will not let us pick her up to use the sink. So she uses the tub.”
CONGRATULATIONS, Rebecca!!! A HUGE THANK YOU to Little Partners for sponsoring this great giveaway – and thank you to everyone who entered!

What a great idea-I’ve wanted one of the learning towers but this moveable unit would be much more practical. I’d love the boys to be able to wash up and to be able to participate a little safer in the kitchen!
I’ve wanted a learning tower for awhile so my children can more safely and easily wash the dishes and help prepare meals. We currently use a foldaway two-step ladder, so we don’t allow our middle child to use it. She’s still a bit unsteady on ladders and not as cognizant of falls. We now have a third child who will soon be walking, so this would see many years of teaching and great use. I think it is more useful than a learning tower. Thanks for the review!
I would love one of these for my 17 month old son. It just isn’t in our budget to get one of these but I see the value in having these in our home! We plan to have many more children and do some montessori at home and I love what these stools promote.
I would love to win this! This would be so helpful for my 3 year old who can’t quite reach the sink! I would also use this when my baby is old enough. Thanks for the opportunity to win!
We’ve been very focused on developing independence with our little girl (20 months). Fortunately, her bathtub had a low profile, so we’ve taught her to turn on the bath water and wash her hands from the faucet. It was amazing to see her go from just turning on the water and watching it run and run to understanding that one must turn off the water when done. She loves the independence that it gives her, but washing hands in the bathtub just isn’t the same as washing in the sink!
We also prepare dinner together every evening. I place the cutting board on the ground (and carefully guard any share objects – she knows what’s sharp, too!) and she helps clean and peel the vegetables. She gets so excited in the afternoons, exclaiming “onion, onion”. We’ve configured a way for her to watch me work with mixers at the counter a few times, but having a safe step stool just for her would really help her be a part of the process.
We just have so much fun teaching her the skills of daily life and are amazed at the things she’s capable of. I appreciate the opportunity to share some of the ways we work towards independence and how a Little Partners 3-in-1 Growing Step Stool would help us on this journey.
I want to win it because my goddaughter is at the age where she wants to do things on her own. This step stool will help her reach the sink to wash her hands, face, and brush teeth.
I have a 17 month old daughter who loves being independent right now. If she could use a stool to use the sink and brush her teeth, she would be in heaven!
My 19 mo and 3.5 yo would love the independence this stepping stool provides for them. I love that the stool provides an element of safety with the high back to eliminate falling off too easily. It would be a perfect addition to our home and our Montessori friendly home classroom!
I learned that Carol Gamble is the Little Partners President & CEO.
I would love this stool for my 15 month old. She loves being able to see what is going on at counter height, and this would provide a way for her to pop up and see what’s going on, and then climbing down independently to play again.
This would be the perfect solution to my daughter longing to wash her hands and brush her teeth at the sink as opposed to the bathtub. She sees her brother, dad, and I (as well as family and friends) using the sink. It frustrates her that she is not tall enough. And she is so independent and full of pride that she will not let us pick her up to use the sink. So she uses the tub.
I have a grandson who is a year and a half and will be needing one of these very soon to help him be able to brush his teeth and wash his hands on his own.
So my little girl can get her own water from the sink, it makes her feel like a big girl when she does.
I would love to win the Little Partners 3-in-1 Growing Step Stool ! It would help my kids to more easily and safely assist in the kitchen. It would also help them reach the bathroom sink and parts of their closet safely by themselves. Love it!
I could really use this for my daugher to reach counter tops with mama and wash her hands. Thank u
Our 2 year old loves to cook with me. We bake every week and prepare most every meal together. When we are working in the kitchen together she has to stand on her tip-toes on a stool to do tasks on the counter, which is frustrating for her and concerning for me as I am constantly worried that she is going to lose her balance and take a tumble. I am always standing behind her or next to her, but it makes the cooking process much slower. However, if she was using the Little Partners 3-in-1 Growing Step Stool I know she would be stable and safe and she would feel much freer to work on her tasks.
This would be awesome for my two year old in our new home! Since downsizing from the military, our new home doesn’t have the space needed for the learning tower.
This is perfect ! We would use it mostly in the kitchen for meal prep helping. Although I love that it is moveable and I’m sure it would make it’s way into other areas of the home as needed 🙂
Thanks for the opportunity to win this amazing tool in which we can teach important simple life rules to our kids. I have a 3 year old that is practicing brush his teeth and wash his hands, also love to help mommy in the kitchen activities, so he will be able to reach the counter top and sink in a safe stole ☺. I also have a 14 month old baby that want to follow big brother steps copied all the things that his brother doing for himself. This step stool will be our best friend at home for sure ☺!
fabulous for the younger children
