Montessori Monday: Infant Education – Montessori Home Tools

November 4, 2013 By Deb Chitwood

Infant Education - Montessori Home ToolsI became a new grandma on Saturday when my wonderful son and daughter-in-law had a beautiful baby girl! I am beyond excited … and can’t wait to do fun, Montessori-inspired activities with my granddaughter!

Since I have babies on the brain right now, I want to share three YouTube videos that are an introduction to the DVD workshop Bringing Out the Brilliance In Your Infant: a practical guide for Montessori in the Home by Montessori educator Tamara Sheesley Balis. I like that the videos show examples of Montessori infant environments and footage of babies using Montessori-inspired activities.

“Infant Education: Montessori Home Tools for the 1st Year, Part 1”

“Infant Education: Montessori Home Tools for the 1st Year, Part 2”

“Infant Education: Montessori Home Tools for the 1st Year” – Part 2

You’ll also find a very helpful video embedded in my Infant-Toddler Montessori post.

For LOTS of Montessori resources for babies, check out my Montessori Baby Resources post and Baby – Category on Living Montessori Now.

Of course, I’ve been adding to my Babies – Activities and Ideas Pinterest Board. You’ll notice that many of the ideas pinned to the board are compatible with Montessori philosophy.
