The Structure of the KHT Montessori Online Course with Class Forum Example and 12-Month Syllabus
If you wonder about how the course is structured, check out this information by Karen Tyler about the forum based classroom: “Let’s be honest here, most of us are very busy with family, outside jobs, etc. We also all live in many different time zones. Most “virtual class rooms” require you to log in at a specific time to be part of a live webinar/class. Self-paced online programs do not offer the personal direction and discussion with a teacher nor classmates. We have created a Forum Based Classroom that can be accessed any day of the week any time day or night. You can log in on your schedule and read the lectures, ask questions, join in on the discussion and I check in daily to reply and keep the class moving forward. I have been trying and trying to win this training bundle! Maybe this time I will be lucky! I am a full time preschool teacher/Family Educator with Head Start and would love to incorporate Montessori into my classroom. I need more training and this will program will get me there. 🙂
I would love to win the giveaway because it would allow me to expand the benefits of Montessori education for my kids. We came to using a Montessori approach in looking for things to help my middle child, who has Asperger’s. We have seen tremendous benefits both for her and her siblings. I would love to win the Montessori online course so I can better use the principles to teach my preschool age daughter at home. I’ve loved everything I’ve read about the Montessori method and principles but sometimes feel a bit overwhelmed and not sure I’m following the principles correctly.
I have researched many types of curriculum and have found Montessori teachings to be the best for our family. My son went to, and my 3 year old daughter currently goes to a Montessori preschool. My son thrived and so is my daughter. After looking into homeschooling my children i knew I’d have to use the Montessori method. There seems to be a lacking in today’s world of taking care of ourselves and I want to make sure I give my children the best that I can give them in especially their education. I would like my children to kmow how to live preactically and to depend on themselves and be responsible for themselves. I feel that The Montessori Method helps teach those things.

I would love to study Zoology, because my daughter loves animals and it would be nice to help her know even more.
My almost two year old daughter is starting to show more interest in specific areas – she like animals a lot, points out letters she recognizes on on the newspapers or shop signs, she enjoys pouring water from a bowl into the sink and so on, and so on.. When I was faced with the decision of how my children would be educated, after much research realised I could not put this into someone else’s hands. That everything I’ve learnt in order to support their growth and learning was just the beginning leading me to this point. From humble beginnings borrowing Montessori books from the library like ‘Teach me to teach myself’, I have seen my boys become extremely capable at figuring out what they need, and for me to recognise when I’m needed. All there is to know cannot possibly be learnt in a classroom where the inherent need to actively seek information is conditioned out of you. I want my children to wonder, to ask questions when they need, to seek help if they want, to follow all that catches their attention. They are such beautiful people because they can be, they can make choices, make mistakes, and feel any way they want because they are in an environment that encourages that. We have chosen to unschool and Montessori teaching has played such a big role in our lives so far. I would like to win this competition because I still have much to learn, I would love to spend more time with my boys rather than looking for Montessori resources, and it is providing an abundance of knowledge that I can share with my boys as they need it.
