I created the above Montessori-inspired Easter egg sound set using the principles of the traditional Montessori sound boxes, which have six sound cylinders with red tops and six sound cylinders with blue tops. The eggs won’t be as colorful as a multi-colored set of Easter eggs but will isolate the difficulty in the matching of sounds. There should be 6 matching sets with the same type of objects (and same number of objects for the same sound) in each matching pair. The eggs could be opened at the end as a self check.
