I would love to win this because I would like to homeschool my younger son who is now 2, until he’s ready for the public school that his older brother attends which provides a Montessori stream within the mainstream schooling system. The dedicated Montessori childrens’ school that he attended for 2 years closed down last December and there are really no other choices for us.

I am a mum of four years old twins with special needs. Paula was born with a rare liver disease and Jacques has ADHD. Becase of their special needs they cannot attend any “normal” school. Thus, the best way is to homeschool them. After one year experience with Montessori homeschooling (that I adeapted to the needs of the children) I can say that it works for us very well. But the special needs of my children take me a lot of energy, and preparation of Montessori materials takes also some time. These prizes would be great for me. Thanks for this amazing opportunity!
Because I am a grandmother and am a caregiver to one of my grandsons in my home I became aware of the Montessori program I became aware of all the Montessori helps on the internet. I always wanted my 8 children to have the Montessori schooling, but the cost was so prohibited. I knew immediately that this was what I wanted my grandson to have. The more I studied all the info on the everyone’s blog the more I wanted my other grandchildren to have this opportunity as well. I have since had three more of my grandchildren coming to participate and some of the children in the neighborhood. I also teach sewing to the area children and am using some of the materials with them as well. I am doing this because I see the light at the end of the tunnel for these children. I have worked in the headstart program and the public schools for years, and I see children who struggle, are left behind and struggle socially and it breaks my heart. I love the animal kingdom nomenclature cards from Montessori Print Shop and grammar farm labels.
We are homeschoolers, and I try to use many Montessori components in our approach, especially since my children attended a Montessori preschool, but sometimes I find the cost prohibitive. This would be a huge help in bring more Montessori into our home!
