50+ Montessori-Inspired Dr. Seuss Activities

February 28, 2013 By Deb Chitwood

While Dr. Seuss’s fantastical musings don’t fit with a strict Montessori approach, many Montessori teachers and homeschoolers like to prepare Montessori-inspired Dr. Seuss activities at this time of year.

50+ Montessori-Inspired Dr. Seuss Activities
Today, I want to share 50+ Montessori-inspired Dr. Seuss activities to celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday on March 2! It’s hard to say exactly what is or isn’t Montessori-inspired, since so many wonderful activities have elements of Montessori in them.

But to narrow things down from among all the amazing activities found online, I’ll especially focus on tot trays/activity trays, practical life activities (fine motor activities and food preparation for kids), sensory tubs, phonics activities, and a few large-motor activities (because Montessori loves movement).
