DIY Montessori Sensorial Materials {Hundreds of Resources}

July 12, 2016 By Deb Chitwood

When parents are wanting to become Montessori homeschoolers, the sensorial materials are typically one of the biggest dilemmas. They can be expensive, yet they’re beautiful. Sensorial materials are often the reason people first fall in love with Montessori education. So, what should a Montessori homeschooler do?

DIY Montessori Sensorial Materials {Hundreds of Resources}

(Note: If you’d like to learn more about Montessori sensorial materials, I have an introductory Montessori sensorial activities post with a number of resources.)

Montessori Sensorial Materials I Recommend Buying

Montessori Sensorial Materials I Recommend Buying

There are certain sensorial materials that I typically recommend buying for their precision and beauty. You can see those recommendations here: Montessori Sensorial Materials I Recommend Buying. Of course, if you have someone who can make even those materials, that’s awesome!

I’ve been rounding up tutorials for Montessori materials for a few years. I have a list of all my DIY Montessori Materials posts. I also have a post on how to make your own Montessori materials with extra resources.

DIY Montessori Sensorial Materials

There are a number of sensorial materials that are perfect for DIY projects. In the following posts, you’ll find LOTS and LOTS of tutorials for making your own sensorial materials. It’s fine if you prefer to buy some of these materials, although many of them are surprisingly easy to prepare … even if you’re not a crafty person.
