Montessori Services Reviews

February 12, 2013 By Deb Chitwood

Here are links to the Montessori Services materials I’ve reviewed (updated in 2017).

Montessori Services Reviews

Disclosure: I was never required to write a positive review for Montessori Services, and any opinions expressed are my own. This post contains Montessori Services affiliate links (at no cost to you).

From the time I was a Montessori teacher in the 1970s and owned a Montessori preschool in the 1980s, Montessori Services was always one of my favorite Montessori suppliers. Almost all my school’s rugs and trays were from Montessori Services along with a number of practical life activities and card materials. I was never disappointed with Montessori Services as a school owner or Montessori homeschooler. Almost all the materials were in close-to-new condition after years of loving care by young children.

Since I’ve started blogging, I’ve hosted three Montessori Services reviews and giveaways. Like before, I’ve never been disappointed with the quality of Montessori Services materials. Be sure to check out each of my review posts to find out more about some of the Montessori Services materials that are wonderful for schools and homeschools. Parents using Montessori principles at home will also find much to offer through Montessori Services or its partner site, For Small Hands, which specializes in child-size tools and materials for families.

I would like to win the gift certificate because we have a long list of items for our elementary montessori homeschool from montessori services and it would be so helpful to have a gift certificate to pay for part of it.

It would be amazing to win this gift certificate! My little one is 19 months and we are excited to homeschool by using Montessori. This would be so helpful!

I love the pouring sets, my 4 year old loves to pour everything 🙂 these would be a great addition to our home.

I LOVE the cooking utensils set. My son runs for his “kid sized tools”, including his utensils set, apron, and mit every morning to cook breakfast. I never would have imagined that tools the right size would make such a difference!

We could put a gift certificate to good use! I would probably focus on meeting my sons fine motor skills needs. He had spent time in OT for fine motor skills for 2 years and the pouring & transferring items would certainly keep his skills on the right path. These kind of resources are a homeschool mom’s dream 🙂

I was introduced to Montessori From the Start and was impressed with the concepts of teaching children from birth to be able to do things for themselves. My son is now three, and my daughter is 1, and I am amazed at just how independent, self-reliant, and eager to learn new things they each are. I would really like my children to have the opportunity to use proper musical instruments–everything I have used so far has been improvised except for their gardening tools. There is no comparison b/n proper musical sounds and the cheap toys available on the market. Thank you for this opportunity to win a gift certificate!

I am a first-year homeschooling mom combining classical (for my first grader) with Montessori (for my pre-k’er). Most of what I use is either homemade or what I happen to have laying around the house. I would really love to get some Montessori-specific materials, especially for math.

I am just starting out with my game library, which includes more than 70 Montessori materials. I would love to add to the collection and introduce others to Montessori. I’m also a credialed Early Childhood Montessori teacher with 1 child in a charter Montessori school and the other with his application in for a different Montessori school.

We only have one set of “real” Montessori materials. It would be great to add to that. 😉

We’re piecing together Montessori lessons at home. There are times when I feel a little disappointed that we can’t afford to send our child to a community Montessori classroom.

And then there are mornings when I watch him shirtless with a light saber strapped to his waitstband, building the pink tower and I think, “eh. Home has it’s perks too.”
