What a wonderful website I have a 2 year old and 10 year old I am homeschooling. They both have Autism and I find all the montessori materials work well for them.
I am planning to homeschool our 21 month old son using Montessori principles…this would help us immensely. Thank you for offering the chance for this!
I’ve always been fascinated with the Montessori model for learning, but three kids coming 18 months apart from each other I never quite managed implementing it in my home. Now I have a 4th child, nearing age 2, and I want to try to give him more Montessori play/learning opportunities as he grows.
I’m curious about your personal experience as both a Montessori teacher and a homeschooling mom: if I struggle to implement these ideas in our (slightly chaotic) home life, would it be a good idea to send my toddler to a good Montessori toddler program a couple of mornings each week? There is an excellent program just 5 minutes away from my home now, and I’m thinking about it. (My other boys are 6, 8, and 10, and are homeschooling in an eclectic CM/classical/unschool mix.)
These materials would be wonderful for use with our little homeschooling group, especially my 5 and 2 year old little ones. Happy 5 years, thanks for all the resources and inspiration!
