You don’t need to be a Montessori teacher or Montessori homeschooler to appreciate Safari Ltd. TOOBS, although the TOOBS are wonderful for creating Montessori-inspired activities. Safari TOOBS are perfect for parents of young children. They’re also great if you’re a homeschooler or teacher who wants to give your children and/or students hands-on learning activities which work well for multiple ages.
In case you aren’t familiar with Safari Ltd. products, they’re award-winning miniature collectibles in many themes (perfect for unit studies). The Safari Ltd. sculptors work closely with zoos and museums to create detailed, lifelike molds from which each small plastic model is made. Love Toobs! I bought their insents and baby animals ones and my son has loved them!
I have recently started using Toobs in our monthly sensory box and find that the children in my daycare love them! It is easy to link learning with three part cards and the Toobs for further educational opportunity. The farm Toobs would offer play and learning opportunities with familiar animals that the children see in Indiana.

We love to play with Toobs! I save up my Michaels coupons for them! My girls would have a blast playing with the tiny animals in our backyard fairy garden this summer. We LOVE the Safari TOOBS at our house! I only discovered them a few months ago. But since then I have been trying to build up a collection for my kids who love to use them in our habitat small worlds. I love the attention to detail and the fact that they use safe plastics, which is good because my son will occasionally put things in his mouth! My daughter in particular loves that there are so many different animals in each Safari TOOBS. In other animal packs we have looked at, they either didn’t have that many or they just didn’t look real enough (example: giant lines across the animal, where you can tell this is where they glued it together). We would love to create small world farms for these animals and they would create so many learning experiences for my kids.
Am not a teacher nor have any special training but I do believe in learn through play and am a huge montessori follower. the toobs have been a must in our sensory bins and every day learning. I also run a learn through play playgroup, these toobs would make a great addition to our learning activities in the agenda such farm life, pets and much more. thanks for the opportunity and good luck everyone.
We love toobs in our house. Animal and insect recognition when we read books. They can be found covered in our cloud dough on a daily basis and floating around in water outside in our sand table. But despite the fact their father is a farmer we don’t have the farm toobs. What!? I cant believe it either.

Why do I want to win? I’m a new teacher starting out and these would be a great tool to use! I’m so excited by the idea of letting the kids explore the way they want to explore and these toobs are a great way to introduce animals (and who doesn’t love baby animals?)
